Wireless Printing

At this time, printing from personal laptops via a wireless Internet connection is not available. You can print at lab and Rapid Copy Center computers using USB devices, computer disks, or email. You can print from the Laptop Checkout computers.

Printing PDFs

image of printer iconIn many cases, PDF documents open into an Adobe Acrobat window within the window of the browser software. To print these PDFs, users must select the printing icon offered by the Adobe Acrobat software. This icon is below the browser navigation bar and on the left side.

Very large PDF files sometimes print very slowly or not at all. Aside from trying to print these documents on faster printers, computers, or Internet connections, students might also try requesting lower quality images (and thus smaller file sizes) from instructors (for course-related PDF files).

Printing from JSTOR

In order to print documents in JSTOR, users must select the JSTOR “Print” function and follow the directions. Selecting “Economy” in the Printing Preferences will lead to quicker printing.

Scanning

Scanning is available in three locations:

In each location, request a scanner when checking in at the service desk.
