Library @ HSS Computers
Overview
Laptop checkout is the main computer-related service available in Library @ HSS. If you are looking for Windows or Macintosh desktop computers, scanners or color printing, see the information about computers in Library Annex 1.
All SF State students, staff, and faculty with a valid OneCard/SF State ID are welcome to use the Library computer services. A small number of computers in Library Annex 1 can also be used by registered guest users.

Computer Sign-On
To use the Quick Research computers in HSS 101 and 107, sit down at an available computer and sign-on with your SF State or Guest ID number. Computer use is limited to 30 minutes per user, per day. More about the Computer Sign-on System..
Laptop Checkout
SF State users can checkout a laptop for up to 4 hours from HSS 127. Laptops can be used anywhere on campus. Printing is available in HSS 127. Be sure to consult Library Hours before visiting HSS 127. More information about Laptop Checkout.
Quick Research Computers
The Quick Research Computers in HSS 101 and HSS 107 can be used by SF State users for up to 15 minutes at a time. Use these computers to retrieve documents from Electronic Reserves and iLearn, to search the Library Catalog, and to access other Library electronic resources.
Printing
Computers in both HSS 101 and 107 print to the OneCard printer in HSS 101. The cost is 7 cents per page for 8 1/2 x 11 paper and requires a SF State OneCard or Guest Card with sufficient value. To add money to your OneCard or Guest Card, use the VTS machine in HSS 127.
Color prints and large format poster printing are available in Library Annex 1 at the service counter. The cost varies depending on size. More information.
