Getting Help on Campus

About

Faculty and Staff in the Library are able to help you in doing research and using library resources and services. See Research Assistance for more information.

For other kinds of assistance, people in the Library may refer you to others on campus who can help you.

There are several places on campus to get help with the many essays and papers you have to write in college, not only in your composition courses but also for assignments across the disciplines. See the Learning Assistance Center (LAC) guide to writing assistance

Tutoring

The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) supports students in becoming independent and successful learners by providing skills-based tutoring and academic support referrals. See Getting a Tutor at SF State.

Software Training

For help with word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, statistics, web development and more, DoIT Training, located in Administration (ADM) 103, offers computer-related short courses and workshops to all SF State students, staff, and faculty throughout the year.
