Getting Started
Use the Find Books links to locate books, eBooks, dissertations, scores, microfilm and other materials available in, or through, the Library. For more information on how to get started finding books in the Library, read the Finding Books Guide. Most, but not all, books in the Library can be borrowed. But some, like our Reference collection may only be used in the Library. For more information: Student Borrowing, Faculty Borrowing.
If you are looking for a book your instructor has put on reserve, check:
InvestiGator Catalog
Most books available in the Library can be found in the InvestiGator Catalog.
Getting Books we Don't Have
If you are having trouble finding a book, or other type of item, in the Library you may be able to request it through one of the Library's document delivery services (also known as Interlibrary Loan). When available, items requested through participating libraries are delivered quickly and without charge for you to pick up in the Library on the SF State campus. For more information, see:
Search Other Libraries
There are a large number of other libraries in the Bay Area and beyond that you may also want to check.
