Information for Visitors
Welcome!
Visitors are invited to use the resources of the J. Paul Leonard Library in person during Main Library hours. Research assistance and some computer workstations are available to visitors, while other services are available only to SF Students students, faculty and staff.
How to get here: The library is in the middle of the campus, next to Holloway Avenue. Directions to campus.
Borrowing Privileges
If you would like to check out books, please consider joining the Friends of the Library. Or, if you are affiliated with another university, you can call or visit Circulation Services to see if you are eligible to be a Special Borrower. Students from other CSU (California State University) campuses are eligible, for example. Another way of borrowing books is to contact a library that you are affiliated with, such as your local public library, and request a book via Interlibrary Loan.
We are sorry, but by license agreement, only current SF State students, staff and faculty can have access to our online subscription journals and articles from off campus.
Getting Help
If you have questions, please ask at any service desk in the library, or call us at 415-338-1974.
