Location and Hours
The Sutro Library is affilated with the State Library of California. While it is not part of J. Paul Leonard Library, it is located to the North Campus of the San Francisco State University campus, directly behind (to the west of) the Stonestown Shopping Center.
The Sutro Library features U.S. local history, the notable rare book and manuscript collections formed by Adolph Sutro, and the finest genealogy collection west of Salt Lake City, Utah. Use the Main Catalog to explore these collections.
