Course Reserves


"Course reserves" are items placed in the library, usually by SF State Faculty, and made available for short periods of time for a course. Hardcopy materials put on reserve can be checked out at the Book Checkout & Pickup Counter. Video and audio reserves can be used in Library Media Services.

Course materials can also be found in iLearn and Electronic Reserves.

Reserve Books

Books placed on reserve by the Library are available from the Service Desk at the Book Checkout & Pickup Counter.

Borrowing Period: 2-hours, 24-hours or 48-hours.

Electronic Reserves

To access e-Reserve readings for your SF State course, login to iLearn with your San Francisco State ID number and password, and click on the e-Reserves button in the right sidebar.

Library Media Services

Videos, Music and Other Media placed on reserve by the Library are available in the Library Media Services.
